True Love

In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.

What is Romance P.S.?

Romance P.S. is an entertainment blog about two of my very favorite things — movies and books.

The title actually stands for Romance with the page and screen so it's not just about romance alone but all kinds of movies and books. Though I will confess that my favorites always seem to be romances in some way ;)

Movie Review: Love Comes Softly

Stars: Katherine Heigl and Dale Midkiff
Movie Blurb: Marty and Aaron Claridge traveled west in search of new life and better opportunities. But when tragedy strikes and Aaron is killed - Marty suddenly finds herself a widow with a baby on the way in a rugged land where she is completely alone among no one but total strangers. That is until a handsome farmer Clark Davis ( Dale Midkiff) suggests a platonic "marriage of convenience" until Marty can return home. But as the months pass Marty and Clark discover an unexpected new love budding where there was once only loss. Do they belong together after all?

Review: This is the Hallmark Channel Original movie that started the hit Love Comes Softly movie series off. It is based on the Best Selling book by Janette Oaks of the same name. I loved this movie from the first time that
I saw it, it was an instant favorite. If you love a good western/prairie style movie or if you just love a good clean movie about love and life this movie is for you. It's truly wonderful. Katherine and Dale are outstanding and the little girl who plays Dale's daughter Skye McCole Bartusiak in the movie is a great little actress herself even at such a tender age. It's a great movie that the whole family can enjoy! BUY IT you won't be sorry! All of the movies in the series are good but to me you can't beat the first one it's the best.

A few kisses. More adult situations are implied throughout the movie but none are ever shown that would be inappropriate for younger viewers. This can be viewed as a family.

Rated:

*But would be a G if it were it's completely clean. *

And read the book that inspired the movie!!!

Also they have the whole series minus the very last movie of the series (Love's Christmas Journey) for a great low price now under $30 dollars for all 10 movies!!! This does include the two prequel movies Love Begins and Loves Everlasting Courage as well you can't beat a deal like that!
