True Love

In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.

1 John 4:9

What is Romance P.S.?

Romance P.S. is an entertainment blog about two of my very favorite things — movies and books.

The title actually stands for Romance with the page and screen so it's not just about romance alone but all kinds of movies and books. Though I will confess that my favorites always seem to be romances in some way ;)

Movie Review: The Notebook

Stars: Ryan Goslin, Rachel McAdams, Gena Rowlands, and James Garner

Movie Blurb: Based on Nicolas Sparks Best Selling novel of the same name the Notebook is the story of Noah and Allie two young teenagers from different sides of the tracks who meet at a carnival and fall desperately in love. But the differences in their social classes soon threaten to tear the two apart. It's a story of a love that was meant to be and that can withstand anything.

Review: I could go on about this movie all day long so I'll keep this short it is probably THE most beautiful and romantic movie ever made with the perfect ending ta boot. Does it really get any better than that? Honestly what more can I say that in itself says it all. And I challenge any true red blooded woman to watch this movie and not cry, laugh, and just melt. Yes it is a tearjerker in one way but when you think about it you just have to go aww...that was perfect! There is a reason it tops so many lists as the number 1 for romance movies because quite simply put it is. Don't believe me see it for yourself if you haven't already and below are three quotes that will put a period to my point...

Several love scenes including one that had to be trimmed and reworked to keep it in the PG-13 rating bracket. If you have the DVD or Blu-ray you can see extended and alternate versions of these scenes. But it is hot that's for sure.

Rated:

For sexual situations and mild language

Break out the Hankies for this one...
