True Love

In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.

Movie Review: Xmen Days of Future Past

Stars: Hugh Jackman, Jennifer Lawrence, James McAvoy, etc..
Director: Bryan Singer

Movie Blurb: The ultimate X-Men ensemble fights a war for the survival of the species across two time periods in X-Men: Days of Future Past. The characters from the original X-Men film trilogy join forces with their younger selves from X-Men: First Class in an epic battle that must change the past - to save our future. The X-Men send Wolverine to the past in a desperate effort to change history and prevent an event that results in doom for both humans and mutants.

Review: Here is the one that everyone was waiting for a return the return of Bryan Singer to the franchise and director chair and the plot that many fans had been rabidly waiting to see.
The film starts out in the "future" of course with the X-men fighting for their lives against the Sentinels-(giant futuristic robots programmed to hunt down and destroy all mutants). We quickly see that they are loosing the battle with many of the most well known mutunts being annihilated quickly. How can the Xmen hope to put a stop to this catastrophe and save their already fallen comrades? By sending one of them back into the past to stop the Sentinels from ever being built in the first place. And no one would be able to survive the harsh and mind rending journey accept you guessed it...Wolverine.

Wolvie goes back in time to 1973 where he meets a very different Charles Xavier whom he has to convince that he has met in the "future" and that his future self sent him back to help stop Bolivar Trask and his advancing of the Sentinals program. This is no small task as Charles of the past has given up on his powers and wanting nothing more than to live a quiet life away from all the mutant hoopla.

Mystique is actually the wild card in this one as her plan to assassinate Trask is actually the catalyst that would ultimately cause the future where the Sentinels have their reign of terror. So Wolverine must not only find and convince Charles, Magneto, Beast, and Mystique that he is who he says he is and that they must all work together to prevent the future that he knows is coming.

And Magneto...well he's being held in custody in the most secure place in America for a crime that makes him public enemy number one.

Can Wolverine get them all to come together to change the future by changing their past, or is the future already written in stone?

thoroughly loved this movie. I thought it ties up so many loose ends that were left from previous films in the series as well as fixing some problems that I had with several of them in the mix as well.

There are many great scenes and stellar performances by really everyone. If you are a big Hugh Jackman fan like I am you will not be disappointed Wolverine is of course the main character in this one and I promise that man just keeps getting better with age! Don't believe me just look at this...

He is way more buff now than he ever was in any of the first three movies combined.

Jennifer was awesome as Mystique, James Mcavoy was great as Charles... I don't think anyone really did a bad job in this one to be honest. By the end credits I was almost cheering and I can not wait to see what they do for the next installment which by all accounts included the end credit scene is going to deal with Apocalypse

There are several things that truly had me cheering at the end but I can't give those away as they would be big spoilers but anyone that has seen the film will know what I mean. If you haven't seen it yet and love the Xmen you can't miss this one! It truly is the best one in the series so far. It's on my instant to buy list as soon as it's available!

No romance to speak of at all in this one. Wolverine is shown in bed with a woman but nothing happens and nothing is shown. The PG-13 rating on this one is totally violence and action sequences - and there are a lot of them.

Rated:

For extreme action and violence.
